IrresistibleMe Hair Extensions

***Disclaimer*** This product was sent to me for the purpose of reviewing, however, this does not alter my opinion or views on the product.
The lovely Adriana from Irresistible Me Hair Extensions got in touch with me in September to send me a package to review, and of course I couldn't resist!

Irresistible Me Hair extensions are made from Remy Hair. If you don't know much about Remy Hair, it is considered to be the finest quality of human hair as the hair is collected from the donor's head and preserved to ensure all the cuticles are healthy, living, and facing in the natural growing direction and is only lightly processed.

Adriana asked me to choose the length and colour of my package and when I went to look at the site I was totally overwhelmed, there were just so many choices!! Luckily they have a few tools to help you out with this.

Firstly I needed to sort out what length extensions I wanted. I didn't want them too long as I mainly wanted them for volume. I ended up choosing the 20" extensions based on this chart that they sent me (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/537546905500205807)

The next step was to select the colour. Irresistible Me have a very handy video (below) that shows you the colours side by side and I opted for Royal Chocolate Brown. As my hair colour varies in different lighting, and as it fades to a lighter shade in Summer, I felt like Royal Chocolate Brown would work best for me.

Once I sent Adriana my selections it took about three weeks for the package to arrive. PS - how cute is that illustration on the inside?!

The first thing I noticed when I opened up the package was that it was split into two sections. The small section is packaged separately in order for you to colour match and check the length without ruining the integrity of the full set of extensions, in case you want to exchange or return them. The section that contains the set of extensions contains a seal and once that has been broken you are no longer able to return/exchange the item.

Exchanges and returns are free for US customers and unfortunately international customers will have to pay the shipping fees of their exchange or return.

When I opened the packet I was astounded and how much hair there was in the set and without a doubt is the biggest set I have ever seen. The package contained a total of nine pieces/wefts and they were quite heavy.

On first inspection I was super happy with the colour, but the more I looked at them, the lighter they looked than what was shown on the video and on the website. The colour I received looked more like Royal Medium Brown than Royal Chocolate Brown. If I had paid for these I would've most likely returned them for a different colour but on the plus side they're Remy hair so I can just dye them to match so I wasn't too concerned.

Next task was to try them on. Seriously, I wish this was how my hair was in real life. When I was younger my hair was this thick and full, but as I've gotten older and my health has gone downhill my hair is so fine and wiry, it's kinda depressing - lol!
Hair Extensions (Without Flash)
The extensions are really easy to apply and the clips are super strong and durable. I didn't feel like they were going to fall out at all and they felt super secure. The hair didn't tangle as much as I imagined it would and they are super manageable with just a light brush through. Once they're 'lived in' a little more I think they will look much more natural and closer to my hair texture.
Before and After (With Flash)
As you can see from the before and after photo, the colour selection of the extensions are way off with a flash but in real life the colours do blend a lot better, as seen in the previous picture. What I love most about this product is the amount of volume it gives to my hair and the extra ounce of confidence it gives me.

Prices start from $79USD with every new customer receiving 20% off their first order. They also offer free international shipping on orders over $150USD. Irresistible Me stock clip in extensions, full lace wigs, hair tools, hair care and accessories.

Ardell Magic Lash - Growth Enhancer

Ardell Magic Lash Growth Enhancer makes some pretty big promises.

This is what they claim that this product will do:
  1. Stimulate new growth
  2. Repair weak thinning lashes
  3. Help prevent lash loss
  4. Give lashes a healthier, fuller appearance
Sounds good to me but does this product deliver on all its claims? Read on to find out more, but first let's have a look at the packaging!

The Magic Lash comes in a pen form which you twist at the bottom in order for the serum to make its way to the brush applicator. When you first use the pen you will need to twist it for quite some time before the product will come out.

Once you can see the serum on the pen tip, brush a thin layer of the Magic Lash Growth Enhancer to the base of your eyelashes then run the excess serum to the end of your lashes. You don't need to rub it in or anything, you just leave it to dry as is. Also be SUPER careful not to get any in your eyes because that STINGS! Trust me, I did it a few times!

On one hand, this applicator is handy, but I found I was getting this in my eyes more often than not. I think if they had made the applicator more like a mascara/gloss wand it would've been a lot easier to apply.

I applied this serum religiously EVERY NIGHT for five weeks and I feel like there is definitely a difference in my lower lash line and the outer corner lashes, but I feel that it doesn't show much in the images (apologies for the lack of eyebrow grooming in the after photos. It just goes to show how important brow makeup/grooming is but that's a whole other blog entry! lol).

Overall, I'm pretty happy with how my lashes look in real life, especially the lower eye lashes as they look a LOT longer to me and I will most likely be purchasing this to see if a second run of this will make my lashes even longer.

I'm not sure if this delivered on most of the claims that it states on the box, but I do definitely think that my lashes look fuller and healthier than before.

I think individual results with this product will vary and even if you are skeptical it's worth a try, as if you're not satisfied you can return this to the store you purchased it from and get a refund. If you don't believe me, it's written on the box, but just remember to keep your receipt.

If you have tried this product, or one similar, let me know in the comment section. I would love to know how you went and your experience with it! x

You can purchase this item at selected Priceline stores for $21.99 RRP.

Beauty Luscious & Co. and Some Selfies ;p

One of my long time supporters on my Facebook page, Suzanne contacted me a while ago and said that she wanted to send me some samples of her makeup range (Luscious Cosmetics) to try out and of course I said YES (I mean who can say no to free makeup - lol)!

She sent me some samples of lipstick, illuminator and some foundation. As I have pretty sensitive skin I decided to leave the foundation trial for another time as I have to attend and judge the Face of Alice Be Curious Competition this week and there will be plenty of photos so I wanted to play it safe.

 "FAMOUS" MOISTURISING LIPSTICK

This lipstick really surprised me. I've worn my fair share of lipsticks and I always find that they dry my lips out, even if the product claims to be moisturising. This is where Luscious Cosmetics differs.

Swatch on the back of my hand (macro - no filter).

This lipstick just feels so luxurious on your lips and has a lovely shine. Even though this lipstick is sheer, it still has quite a lot of pigment on it and it was super easy to get an immaculate lip line (I didn't use a lip liner for this application).

The only thing I would say that detracts from this product is that it does move a lot on the lips and I could imagine having to reapply this all the time. However, if you are a regular lipgloss wearer you may not find this too annoying to reapply during the day.

Practicing my vacant stare! ;p
This is also a safe option for those of you who want to wear red lipstick but aren't confident enough yet to wear such a loud and bold colour. I definitely felt comfortable wearing this in public and it didn't feel like I was wearing a lipstick at all.

I would recommend this for people who suffer from dry skin on their lips and also for those who just want to wear a sheer wash of colour on your lips rather than a full coverage lipstick.

Beauty Luscious & Co Moisturising Lipstick comes in 25 colours and retails for $30.00AUD.

***I just had to add this pic of myself. Sometimes I make myself laugh with some of the faces I pull trying to get selfies to show off products! hehe ***

"PARADISE" LIQUID ILLUMINATOR
Luscious Sheer Glow comes in two different shades, Movie Star (iridescent pearl glow) and Paradise (bronze glow).

For those of you who have seen my work, you know how much I LOVE using illuminators and highlighters on the skin. I think it's because of my obsession with JLo's shine in all her photo shoots and Scott Barnes' work.

This illuminator has an amazing shine, however, I would recommend to use it mixed in with your foundation only, as I found the texture of this to be too runny to be used just as a cheek highlighter. It does give off a nice sheen though (as shown below).

No edit/filter

Beauty Luscious & Co Luscious Sheer Glow retails for $45.00AUD.
